Not the way people expect, and in Arizona it can make things worse. Monsoon season loads the air with dust, and the light rain that often follows does not have the volume to rinse it off. Instead it wets the dust, then evaporates in the heat and leaves mineral deposits bonded to the glass. That baked-on layer is harder to remove than the dry dust was, and it is the single most common thing we find on Arizona arrays.

Less than most companies will tell you. Across a normal year, soiling costs the typical U.S. home somewhere in the low single digits as a percentage of production. Where it genuinely bites is the stretch after a dust storm, when losses spike well into the double digits until the panels are cleaned. We would rather give you the real number than a scary one.

Not the way we do it. Most panel warranties exclude damage from pressure washing, abrasive pads, and chemical cleaners. We use water and soft brushes only, which is the method manufacturers generally specify. If you have your warranty paperwork handy we are happy to look at it with you.

No to both. Water and soft brushes, nothing else. No detergents, no solvents, no pressure washing. Chemicals leave residue that attracts more dust, and pressure washing risks forcing water past the panel seals.

A flat $10 per panel. A typical 20-panel home is $200. That is the whole price for a standard residential job — we quote it up front and we do not add fees after the fact. Unusual roof access can change it, which is exactly why we fly the drone before quoting rather than after.

We fly a DJI Mini 3 over your array and capture 4K footage of every panel. You see the actual condition of your system — soiling, debris, discoloration, damage, anything shifted or lifted. It is free, it takes about fifteen minutes, and there is no obligation to book a cleaning afterward. It is also how we scope the job accurately.

Yes. We need you present to grant access and to confirm we can use an outdoor water spigot. It also means we can walk you through what we found on the roof before we leave, which is usually the most useful part of the visit.
